  1. What kind of system will need CHESS?

    If you want to perform large volume calculation, or want to set up a cluster for running application in parallel, you will need to set up, config, manage, and monitor numerous servers. CHESS can help you fulfilling these tasks in a single interface within a browser.

  2. What is the requirement to install CHESS?

    You should have at least 3 servers with network connection. The following OS are supported:
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux  4 / 5
    • CentOS 4 / 5
    • Scientific Linux: 4 / 5

  3. What will I get after installing CHESS?

    You will get GUI and command line interfaces to perform following tasks on a single node:
    • Batch queue management.
    • Configuring network services of the whole cluster
    • Hardware and network monitoring
    • User management
