CLUSTERTECH exhibited and presented at the China Insurance IT Application Summit Forum 2010

Beijing – 9-10 July, 2010 – Cluster Technology Limited (CLUSTERTECH) exhibited and presented at the China Insurance IT Application Summit Forum 2010 in Beijing.

This was the third time for China ComputerWorld and Sinosoft Co., Ltd. (Sinosoft) organizing Insurance IT App Summit in Beijing jointly. Invited around 200 life & general insurance company IT Directors, EDP supervisors and MIS Managers to attend the Forum.

ClusterTech introduced a cloud based middleware technology (GigaSpaces XAP) in last year’s China Insurance IT Application event and announced the result of 100+ time performance improvement through a joint Prove of Concept (PoC) project with Sinosoft. Testing was done on Sinosoft’s core insurance system platform under an isolated environment. We also announced the cloud computing technology was ready for enterprise use by showing various worldwide case studies.

This year, we showed how this cloud computing technology can be used in the China Insurance industry and what benefits would be brought by using this advanced technology. In a 25 minute presentation, ClusterTech showed the actual implementation of the GigaSpaces technology in Sinosoft’s core insurance backend system, the first ever cloud computing technology being used in the China insurance industry. We saw how cloud computing technology would be used in the core insurance frontend application level as well as system platform level. We demonstrated the preliminary results we obtained and the benefits we could get from such system.

Computing services in China Insurance industry need to be highly reliable, scalable, responsive and autonomic to support ubiquitous access, dynamic discovery and composability. In particular, enterprises need to determine the required service level through Quality of Services (QoS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA). In this event, we demonstrated how well GigaSpaces XAP can support all these requirements.
