Hong Kong – 4 November, 2011 –Launch party for Fengqi.Asia Cloud a Success.
On 4 November 2011, ClusterTech proudly launched Fengqi.Asia, a one-of-a-kind public cloud offering based on Joyent technology, to businesses in the Asia-Pacific region that require a high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective cloud computing environment. The party attracted more than 100 IT & business professionals, including leaders in the industries of gaming, finance, telecom, education, manufacturing and public services, to join and share their insights and business needs.
The launch party started with introductions to the two driving forces of the establishment, namely, ClusterTech and Joyent. Dr. Wai Mo Suen, CEO of ClusterTech, presented how ClusterTech had enabled hundreds of institutional clients including Fortune 500 companies in Greater China and South East Asia, to take advantage of modern computing technologies to advance their businesses. Dr. Jason Hoffman, Co-founder and CTO of Joyent then introduced how Joyent as a leading cloud technology provider had served over 30,000 clients with the best and safest operation record in the public cloud industry.
Dr. Francis Ng of ClusterTech then highlighted how Fengqi.Asia could help clients from various industries take advantage of Cloud Computing. He shared two actual client cases that demonstrate Fengqi.Asia’s scalability and cost-effectiveness compared with other cloud service providers. In one case, Fengqi.Asia helped an online retail client save 80% of infrastructure cost. The presentations were followed by a Q & A session with useful exchanges between the audience and the speakers. The high point of the event was the launching ceremony of Fengqi.Asia by Dr. Suen and Dr. Hoffman.
