CLUSTERTECH HPC Environment Software Stack (CHESS) |
The CLUSTERTECH HPC Environment Software Stack (CHESS) increases efficiency, improves price/performance ratio, reduces TCO and maximizes productivity and returns of your HPC investments with our first rate commercial-grade support and our continuous technology development for your Linux-based HPC cluster. It addresses the three major software aspects of HPC clusters:
- Configuration of the operating system (network, services, access control, etc.) at every node to form a coherent HPC platform.
- Convenient monitoring, control and management in daily operation of the HPC cluster.
- Provision of tools and libraries for development and execution of HPC applications.
The central layer of CHESS consists of two components:
- CHESS Core Information Infrastructure (CHESS Core)
- CHESS Management Center.
CHESS Core handles low-level system configuration
issues and consolidates real-time system statuses for
monitoring of CPU, memory and network traffic. Used in
conjunction with CHESS Management Center, CHESS enables an effective administration of the HPC cluster
from an intuitive yet flexible interface.
CHESS provides in its top layer all commonly used tools
and libraries for the development and execution of HPC applications. These components are tightly integrated with the core infrastructure and need not be individually reconfigured thus significantly reducing maintenance effort.. |
